Eskom Uganda Limited is a subsidiary company of Eskom Enterprises based
in South Africa. Our business is operating and maintaining Nalubaale and Kiira
hydroelectric Power Stations. Their mission is to be the “Centre of Excellence
in Power Concession Management.”
Job Summary: The Civil
Technician will conduct preventive and corrective works on the Civil plant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Handle routine preventive and corrective
    civil maintenance activities on the plant
  • Conduct routine plant inspections of the
    civil structures, as well as the required site visits to determine the
    civil engineering aspects of planned works.
  • Participate in carrying out the risk
    assessments of all civil activities.
  • Make progress and closeout reports for the
    civil works/ activities.
  • Attend meetings (daily tool box meeting
    SHEQ meetings)
  • Operate mobile equipment like cranes,
    trucks, forklifts e.t.c
  • Supervise contractors on plant with works
    related to the civil section
  • Participate in procurements required for
    civil works and/ or tools
  • Take out permits to work as per the permit
    to work system.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Diploma in Civil
    Engineering
  • At least three years of working experience
    as a civil technician
