valued Client in the Insurance Industry.
Job Summary: The Underwriter
will accept risks, process documents and maintain a balanced business portfolio
as well assist in preparation of management reports. The jobholder will manage
placement, reinsurance, FAC. The jobholder will ensure renewal retention;
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite
    insurance risk
  • Support
    in quotations to intermediaries, clients and visit intermediaries for
    conversion;
  • Assist
    credit control in follow-up of premium payments
  • Assume
    target and follow up renewal retention;
  • Place
    re-insurance & FAC as decided internally;
  • Keenly
    analyse and review performance of existing business
  • Assess,
    inspect and recommend measures for acceptance of Risk
  • Filing
    of documents on underwriting files and quotation files
  • Maintain
    underwriting records+registers& MIS
  • Recommends
    Risk management measures and improvements
  • Visit
    risks and inspect SMEs;
  • Implement
    enterprise risk management;
  • Maintain
    professional contact internally and with all external stake holders;



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University
  • At
    least seven years of experience in general insurance
