Feed the Future, the U.S.
Government’s global hunger and food security initiative, is establishing a
foundation for lasting progress against global hunger. The Feed the Future
Uganda Youth Leadership for Agriculture is a 5 year Activity which will support
Ugandan partners, with youth in the lead, to identify and drive forward
sustainable, inclusive, and cost-effective approaches that put youth,
especially female youth, squarely in the agriculture sector as leaders,
farmers, entrepreneurs, and employees. The purpose of this flagship activity is
to increase economic opportunities for approximately 350,000 Ugandan female and
male youth ages 10 to 35 in agriculture-related fields, in order to increase
their incomes and build their entrepreneurship, leadership, and workforce
readiness skills.

Job Summary: The
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Interns will provide technical support in
the development of monitoring and evaluation systems, tracking activity’s
progress and collaborates with other teams to track and analyze program data
for management and reporting purposes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Intern will be involved in the
following areas:

- Data
entry, cleaning and analysis. - Monitoring
and documenting the progress of partner-related activities. - Mentoring
and training partners in MEL related activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicants for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Intern jobs should
have completed a Bachelor’s degree in statistics, agriculture, information
technology, economics or similar course. - Data
management skills - Good
agribusiness knowledge and ICT skills/training will be an added advantage.
- Candidate
should have the ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines. - Age: Between 19-25 years
