Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
will be in charge of retrieval, detailed analysis and presentation of data on
supply chain monitoring and pharmaceutical sector performance indicators. S/he
will maintain a logistics database that will provide information on supply
chain strength and bottlenecks to inform technical assistance and support
supervision. S/he will work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation
Specialist to monitor the implementation of the Pharmacy Division work plan and
monitor improvement Supervision Performance Assessment and Recognition Strategy
(SPARS) and District Health Information System2 (DHIS2) data quality
specifically on indicators used to monitor availability of medicines and
utilization through Medicine Management Supervisors (MMS).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out analyses of data from the
Pharmaceutical Information Portal (PIP) and DHIS2 as well monitor quality
of data to inform decisions on medicines management - Provide information to the peer
coordinator and plan to conduct periodic data quality assessments and
follow up actions for implementation - Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation
Unit of the pharmacy division to monitor and produce facility stock status
indicators in DHIS2 - Carry out trend analyses on facility
stock status data and compare with central level stock status data to
inform decisions on stock management - Work closely with the Monitoring and
Evaluation Specialist to collect and analyze relevant facility logistics
data to inform technical assistance and support supervision by MoH and its
partner - Review quality of logistics data in MMS
supported districts and a plan for increased data utilization and document
improvements to be presented in the M&E quarterly meetings - Perform any other duties and
responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants for the Management
Sciences for Health (MSH) Technical Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
career placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics. - Two years of related work experience
- Excellent analytical skills with good
reporting and presentation skills - Knowledge in Statistical packages:
Stata, SPSS, Epidata, Epi-Info, E-Views, Ms. Excel. - Knowledge in web-enabled DHIS2 and other
ERP systems. - Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work and deliver under strict
timelines with minimal supervision
