Job Summary: The Accountant
will implement day to day financial activities and maintain financial
data/information as well as ensure compliance to company financial policies and
regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture payments, receipts and accountabilities in the accounting system, and
Prepare vouchers - Review of financial documents to ensure
accuracy of the information and compliance with the organization’s
financial policies and procedures. - Prepare follow up and reconcile customers and suppliers transactions
in regard to various activities within the company - Ensure filing of all the financial records and
supporting documents; stamp all paid requisitions and file vouchers with
all supporting documents daily for proper references - Provide support in filing all statutory
obligations ie URA, KCCA, NSSF etc - Prepare bank reconciliations and keep track of
all disbursed funds; ensure accuracy of the balances - Update and maintain records of all in-coming
and issued receipts to/from various persons/stakeholders, - Carry out regular banking in accordance with
the set procedures; maintain proper records of all cheque payment vouchers
and related documents serially. - Review of accountabilities submitted by staff,
stakeholders and ensure accuracy and completeness of the accountabilities. - Provide disbursement reports on weekly and
monthly basis. - Perform any other duties as may be assigned by
the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the Accountant job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Commerce, Accounts or Business Administration with a bias in Accounting; - Five
years of related experience in the same position obtained from a busy and
reputable organization. - Knowledge
and experience of Accounts packages and Ms. Office packages a must; - Essential
Skills; Strong
Interpersonal, Excellent communication, ability to pay attention to
detail, smart and able to uphold confidentiality
