Job Summary:
The Risk Manager will identify, define, manage and monitor specific risks
present in the various portfolio segments, in order maximize profitability and
/ or minimize potential losses and track risk trends so as to reduce the level
of the risk related losses to the bank.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review, report and communicate Key Risk
Indicators (KRI) and Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) throughout the
bank. - Intuitively analyze the company’s market
position and running figures through risk modelling techniques and value
at risk (VAR) measurements. - Evaluate the credit quality and
direction of risk based on an in-depth analysis of portfolio MIS and
assesses the compliance with external regulations and internal policies
regarding loss recognition, refinancing, and loan rescheduling. - Identify, develop, analyze and review
the credit risk decision models and associated procedures to ensure credit
risk decision tools are powerful and appropriately identify risk - Conduct regular stress tests as per the
bank stress testing guidelines and make recommendations aimed at risk
mitigation. - Monitor the Bank’s insurance cover by
way of review of the insurance policies to ensure that assets are
adequately protected against losses. - Monitor IT systems and review system
functional deficiencies with a view of ensuring that the Technological
risk exposures are minimised. - Coordinate an annual process review
exercise to identify and eliminate redundancies and duplication in
processes and procedures. - Provide adequate operational risk review
and evaluation of new product releases and emerging risks due to changes
to products and service offerings and delivery channels within the
business. - Develop training materials to facilitate
awareness and development of a strong risk culture and accountability; and
monitor the implementation of the risk management efforts across the bank. - Implement the annual Business Continuity
Management programme within the bank.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finance Trust Bank
Risk Manager job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance,
Accounting, Statistics, Actuarial science, Business Administration or any
other related discipline gained from a recognized university. - Possession of certification in Risk
management shall be an added advantage - A minimum of six years of professional
experience, two (2) years of which must be gained from a supervisory role
in a commercial bank. - Excellent report writing skills
- Good Supervisory skills.

- Self-driven, assertive and pro-active.
- Excellent analytical & problem
solving skills. - Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to exercise the highest level of
integrity and confidentiality.
