Kampala Capital City
Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament,
responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • The Kampala Capital City Authority
    (KCCA) Medical Records Officer will plan, budget, manage, coordinate,
    monitor, and evaluate medical records activities in the Hospital.
  • Ensure that records on patients are
    received, documented, classified and stored.
  • The jobholder will also periodically
    audit records and records systems.
  • Ensure confidentiality and safety of
    records.
  • Avail records/information on patients to
    authorized persons.
  • Ensure that essential equipment and
    other supplies are available.
  • Actively participate in research
    activities.
  • Promote observance of the Professional
    Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff under him/her.
  • The jobholder will also manage and
    account for allocated resources.
  • Compile and submit periodic reports.
  • Perform any other duties as may be
    assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The Kampala Capital
City Authority (KCCA) Medical Records Officer should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
(Hons) in Records and Information Management, Library and Information Science,
Records and Archives Management or Medical Records from a recognized
University/Institution.
