Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Implementation and coordination of the Company’s emergency response
    system while ensuring compliance with the local and Company regulations.
  • Tasked with ensuring the maintenance and functionality of the
    Emergency response rooms both site Total E&P Offices and on site.
  • Ensuring that emergency equipments are operational and in good
    working conditions.
  • Organizing and coordinating emergency preparedness exercises such as
    large scale exercises , table tops, drills etc.
  • Organizing induction and training for all Personnel having a role in
    the Emergency Response System.
  • Reviewing and following up all action plans related to Emergency
    preparedness.
  • In addition, managing the On duty Officer system as well as the
    emergency response procedures and their effectiveness
  • Keenly reviewing any other specialized plans such as Blowouts,
    Search & Rescue, Oil Spill response plans and ensure consistency with
    TEP- Emergency Response Plans.
  • Organize regular meetings for review of emergency means, build
    relationships with operator, contractors, sites, medical service providers
    and authorities.
  • Audit the implementation of Emergency response procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the TOTAL Operations (OPS) Emergency
    Response Coordinator job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree or equivalent
  • At least twelve years of experience in Oil & Gas with at least five years in an equivalent position
  • Significant experience in Emergency response, medical emergencies
    and crisis management
  • Proven experience in managing emergencies and intervention teams on
    industrial sites (Oil & Gas preferably)
  • Experience in training personnel for the Intervention Teams up to
    Emergency Response members in the crisis room
  • In depth knowledge of Health & safety procedures, policies and
    regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
