firms, Government institutions, individuals and other enterprises throughout
Uganda.
Job Summary:  The Deputy Managing Director, General
Insurance will provide leadership, manage and develop the General Insurance
business, and take it to the next level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Further developing the business strategy
    that delivers sustainable profitable growth and market penetration
  • Managing the business development and
    business operations
  • Providing strong leadership ensuring the
    organisation attracts, retains and develops talent across the business
  • Overseeing all operations and ensuring that
    a high quality of service is delivered and maintained to a growing client
    base
  • Managing and developing key
    relationships with new and existing clients
  • Further developing a culture for the
    business focused on sales and customer service
  • Assessing and analysing new market
    opportunities that could further support the growth of the business

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant must hold a Degree in Law,
    or Professional Qualification in Finance/Accounting or Professional
    Insurance Qualification (ACM would be considered a plus).
  • Experience in a leadership role with a
    strong track record in Insurance will be crucial for the success of this
    position.
  • Entrepreneurial skills and ability to
    bring passion, energy and motivation to a developing business would be
    considered a plus.
