About Us:
Finnish Refugee
Council (FRC) is an international NGO promoting adult education and community
development among refugees and has been active in Uganda since 1997 as an
operational partner to Office of the Prime Minister and United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Plan and coordinate literacy and
    language training activities for South Sudanese refugees.
  • Offer technical assistance to field
    staff in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of adult
    education activities.
  • Identify, formulate and initiate
    relevant methods, models and practices for adult education.
  • Train and support field staff on
    participatory methods for adult education.
  • Support active Monitoring and
    Evaluation, collect and analyse data.
  • Develop training materials for the use
    of adult education.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the Finnish Refugee
    Council (FRC) Adult Education Team Leader job placement must hold a
    Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education / Community Development / Social
    Science combined with very strong adult education experience.
  • Previous experience in training,
    material development and participatory methods.
  • Five years of professional work
    experience, of which 2 years in team leader position.
  • Knowledge of Dinka, Nuer, Luo and / or
    Acholi are an advantage.
