  Transitional Justice initiatives including International Criminal Court
  and International Crimes Division trials
• Conduct Victim consultations to enable
  them share perspectives to inform ICC & ICD justice processes;
• Convene regular Justice Tafakari forums
  to provide platform for key stakeholders to reflect on justice
  initiatives;
• Engage in strategic litigation processes
  in identified communities
• Organise and hold Annual Memorial

  and public discussions around key TJ and Forced Migration issues
• The Transitional Justice Lawyer will
  also manage the Community screening of Live ICC trials and other TJ
  processes and documentaries;

• Carry out legal research related to
  specific cases of serious human rights violations;
• Conduct detailed analysis of transitional
  justice mechanisms in Uganda, including relevant legislation, regulations,
  and policies;
• Design / prepare research plans,
  questionnaire/ reports and, tabulations;
• Participate in data collection processes
  and activities through interviews and focus group discussion or using any
  another adopted data selection technique;
• Participate in the analysis of data and
  writing final reports for publications;
• Conduct various types of research
  (quantitative and qualitative) as thematically defined;

  Migration(FM) platform meetings

• Convene national level TJ & FM
  platform meetings on appropriate policy and legislative frameworks and
  issues
• Organise high-level TJ retreat targeting
  key actors on policy, research and practice relating to emerging TJ issues

• Ensure that RLP’s rules and regulations
  are implemented with relevance to the activities as well as policies and
  procedures.

• The ideal candidate for the Refugee Law
  Project (RLP) Transitional Justice Lawyer job opportunity must hold a
  Master’s degree in Law
• At least five years of proven and
  relevant work experience in engaging with key partners on transitional
  justice issues
• Good knowledge of international criminal
  law and/or human rights law and/or international humanitarian law and/or
  gender justice and sexual violence and/or transitional justice;
• Good knowledge of the International
  human rights system;
• Interest in promoting and defending
  human rights as well as enforcing the members of civil society;
• Skills in written composition and legal
  research;
• Ability to quickly assimilate domestic
  law concepts in order to harmonize them with knowledge of national or
  international law;
