Job Summary: The Pharmacy Logistics Officer will support
Logistics activities in the Expanded AMAKA Project across the 5 Districts of
West Nile (and others as the geographical scope of the project expands).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating project activities that involve the management and
storage of commodities including surgical and pharmaceutical supplies. - Ensuring the availability of cost-effective, safe, efficacious and
rational use of surgical and pharmaceutical products for the project
including strengthening the already existing SCM health systems at the
project’s sites. - Strengthening the process of Logistics management of supplies in
alignment with MOH guidelines. - Liaise with the districts to ensure availability of Low Dose
Diphtheria Tetanus Toxoid with in the VMMC sites across the region. - Build Logistics capacity, through mentorship and on-site training of
the different healthcare workers involved in Supply Chain Management. - Ensure tracking and accountability for all surgical and
pharmaceutical products as well as related supplies used by the health
facilities. - Ensure that all medical equipment necessary for circumcision are in
place and in good working condition, including follow up on servicing,
maintenance, repair and replacement - Support forecasting and quantification of supplies obtained from the
designated warehouse and those procured through the Project - Support good storage and distribution practices at all circumcision
sites supported within the region. - Work in tandem with Project Administrator to conduct asset
verification as well as ensure availability of asset registers on site. - Support Logistics related technical aspects of training targets
(including development of a training plan to achieve training targets). - Prepare reports on all the activities relating to Pharmacy and
Logistics aspects of the supported region.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) Pharmacy Logistics Officer
job placement must hold a Diploma in Pharmacy. - Active Registration with the Allied Medical Practitioners Council
- Two years of experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to train other health care workers.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to use Logistics data for decision-making.
- Good report- writing and presentation skills.
- Good communication and people management skills.
