Job Summary: The Public Health Officer will provide health
education/sensitization, mobilization and surveillance in the community.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants for the Save the Children Public Health Officer job
placement must hold a Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing with a
training in Public Health or Health Education. A Diploma/Bachelors in
public health or its equivalent will be an added advantage. - Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council or
Nursing council. - Three years of experience as a Health worker (Clinical Officer,
Nurse, Public Health Nurse or Inspector). - Experience in reproductive health and adolescent care in
emergencies. - Fluency in Arabic and the local languages i.e. Lugbara, Madi, Aringa
and Kakwa - Good understanding of broad health issues within community.
- Strong understanding of community, culture and customs
