Project (RLP) is an outreach project of the School of Law, Makerere University.

communities to enjoy their human rights and lead dignified lives. Refugee Law
Project’s work is currently structured in five thematic areas: Access to
Justice; Conflict, Transitional Justice & Governance (CTJ&G), Gender
& Sexuality; Mental Health & Psychosocial Wellbeing; and Media for

Job Summary: The Innovation Centre Administrator is
responsible for managing the Innovation Centre by implementing administrative
and technical systems, procedures, and policies in order to ensure effective
and efficient operations of the Centre. The Innovation Centre is a facility
providing free internet access as well as video and audio production services
to refugee and host community members.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration
- Supervise the Centre staff
- Generate correspondence memos, letters and forms for the Centre as
required; - Develop and maintain the Centre’s contact list(s);
- Maintain office supplies by regularly checking stock to determine inventory
levels; anticipating requirements; placing and expediting orders;
verifying receipt; stocking items - Ensure that the Centre’s premises – inside and outside are always
kept clean - Ensure that the Centre’s premises including assets like furniture,
equipment and office supplies are secure, safe, clean and in usable
condition at all times. - Plan and coordinate meetings at the Centre
- Prepare periodic reports on the activities at the Centre

- Manage and supervise the use of the video and audio equipment.
- Perform audio-visual documentation and editing tasks (preproduction,
production and postproduction) as required
Reception
- Manage access to and usage of the Centre’s facilities by external
users - Receive, direct and provide general support to visitors including
responding to inquiries about the Centre - Maintain a record of users/visitors and prepare periodic reports of
usage of the Centre’s facilities
Finance
- Generate and submit requisitions for funds as required;
- Prepare accountability reports for funds received;
Logistics
- Maintain the Centre’s equipment by regularly checking its
state/functionality and recommending replacement for faulty ones - Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures;
- Coordinate repairs and installation of software to the Centre’s
equipment as required;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Refugee Law Project (RLP) Innovation
Centre Administrator job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a
relevant field - Professional work experience in the audio-visual production or
Information & communication Technology (ICT) fields - A minimum of two years of hands on administrative support experience
