Logistics Associate

for the day to day management of the UNICEF warehouses in line with UNICEF
policies and ensure that accurate and complete accounting control systems are
functioning and that all relevant records are properly maintained
- Record all stock movements in Unitrack daily and produce regular
reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and that all
supplies are kept safe and secure as per SOP. Follow up and make sure that
KPI targets are met. - Prepare loading plans and ensure that standard waybills/Government
receipts are duly complete, disseminated and acknowledged. Assess the availability of space and
prepare stacking/storage plans prior to UNICEF programming/contingency
commodities arrivals. - Ensure proper and timely communication with all Sections, staff
groups and partners related to all incoming and outgoing movement of
supplies. - Monitor the quantity and quality of commodities received against
appropriate documents and report any discrepancies. - Carry out quarterly inventory reconciliation and monthly random
inventory check. - Supervise warehouse assistant and ancillary staff and motivate,
organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set production
targets are met. - Overseeing the auxiliary warehouse location (Mbuya) and all program
related supplies. Overseeing the planned maintenance of warehouse
equipment and machinery.

Associate job opportunity should have completed Secondary school education
supplemented with a course in warehouse or logistics management. - At least six years working experience in warehousing/inventory
management. - Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN
language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
