About US:
The Uganda Refinery
Holding Company (URHC) is a Private Limited Liability Company incorporated
under the Companies Act (2012). It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Uganda
National Oil Company (UNOC) Ltd. The purpose of the URHC is to hold, on behalf
of UNOC, interest in the refinery project planned to be developed in Kabaale,
Hoima District and its associated infrastructure. URHC has also been given the
mandate to develop, operationalize and manage the 29.57 km2 Kabaale petro-based
Industrial Park (KIP).
Job Summary:  The Business Process Analyst will ensure
efficient analysis of complex business processes and workflows and subsequently
improve or automate    them.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Analyze and evaluate all aspects of UNOC business processes,
    including work processes, outputs, business cases, and resource
    utilization; and define system requirements, propose potential solutions,
    discuss the proposed solution with IT and the concerned business
    function(s), and coordinate the implementation and integration of
    technology solutions and domain-specific applications.
  • Conduct preliminary investigation for all project requests. Review
    requirements, specifications, test, support and training plans to ensure
    they are in line with business objectives on projects.
  • Develop Business Process Analysis (BPA) recommendations for process
    improvements and enhanced technology applications to improve business
    workflows within UNOC.
  • Analyze both business and technical processes to formulate
    requirements for new improved business processes.
  • Assess the operational and functional baseline for UNOC and its
    subsidiaries and help to define the direction and strategy for an
    engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed.
  • Participate in business process management group efforts to collect
    and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the
    different functions within UNOC.
  • Participate in business process modelling sessions, acting as a
    co-facilitator, facilitator, documentarian or subject matter expert in
    sketch sessions.
  • Actively participate and support the delivery of organisation-wide
    projects providing IT requirements gathering, testing and implementation
    support where required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • At least an upper second-class bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer
    Science, Information Systems or any other relevant degree from a
    recognized University.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry shall be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of business and technical processes to better
    formulate, recommend or develop new and improved process
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the
    ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas to audiences
    with varied technical backgrounds
  • The ideal candidate is expected to have experience using business
    process modelling tools
  • Experience in project management is an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with
    colleagues from all departments and levels of the organization.
