Job Summary: The Manager Medical Logistics/Supply Chain System will be responsible for
developing and monitoring the implementation of systems and guidelines for
providing Pharmaceutical services/Medical logistics

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor the implementation systems, policies and
standard operating procedures/ guidelines for the provision of
pharmaceutical services across Bayior-Uganda supported regions - Provide differentiated Service Delivery (DSD) models that are
adapted to provide HIV treatment and care to either address specific
barriers/bottlenecks or ease access to HIV treatment and care for a
subgroup of persons living with HIV - Develop and monitor the implementation of periodic consolidated
Baylor-Uganda Pharmaceutical work plan, procurement plan and manage the
budget - Review and analyse the prescriptions data reports from supported
Health Units to detect, verify root causes of errors and make
pharmaceutical recommendations on drug treatment - Organize the quarterly and monthly audits of pharmacy operations at
supported Health Units and monitor implementation of the recommendations - Develop and monitor the implementation of the capacity building plan
- Develop pharmacy procurement plans and provide technical support in
procurement evaluation of pharmacy oriented bids then monitor the supply
system for pharmaceutical products - Develop the pharmacy departmental ‘operation strategy’ and monitor
its implementation then write periodic consolidated reports in regard to
the performance of the department - Review and monitor the implementation of strategies for
identification, implementation and closing of quality improvement projects - The incumbent will identify and follow up the utilization of
resource mobilization opportunities for Baylor - Identify research opportunities and monitor the conducting of
research findings
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s Degree with a Degree in
Pharmacy. A pharmacy related masters is an added advantage - A minimum of five years of working experience in medical logistics
health system strengthening at managerial level. - Ability to influence pharmacy decisions at a strategic level and with
capacity to represent the organization in terms of pharmacy issues - Team and communication skills,
- Good networking and partnership skills.
- Must be dynamic, Persuasive &convincing,
