About Organisation:

Sukuma Commodities Ltd is a fully licensed Uganda Coffee Exporting company, with operations in all major coffee growing areas of the country, working with smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and local enterprises in the coffee supply chain. We have expertise in both Robusta and Arabicas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of coffee processing, from green bean intake to packaging and shipping
  • Supervise, train, and mentor production staff to ensure high performance and adherence to quality standards.
  • Create and maintain schedules to optimize equipment and labor efficiency while meeting customer demand.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage production budgets, optimizing costs while maintaining high standards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing occupational health and safety standards.
  • Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and quality control teams to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management or supervision, coffee industrial setting is a bonus.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee processing techniques, equipment, and quality control standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations.
  • Basic training in electrical and mechanical systems relevant to production equipment maintenance and optimization.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning software is a plus.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
