Job Summary: Mogo Uganda is seeking a motivated and skilled Call Center Agent to join our dynamic Debt Collection team. This role requires engaging directly with customers via phone and other communication channels to resolve overdue accounts, provide accurate information about payment options, and maintain detailed and up-to-date records. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make outbound and receive inbound calls to contact customers with overdue accounts.
- Politely remind customers of outstanding payments and due dates.
- Update customer records, call logs, and payment arrangements accurately in the system.
- Engage in sales activities to collect payments over the phone and address any issues in tracker functionality.
- Achieve daily and monthly call/contact targets and collection goals.
- Adhere to compliance standards, privacy laws, and internal policies.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service.
- Identify and escalate problematic accounts or customer concerns to supervisors.
- Use a respectful and solution-oriented approach to ensure a positive customer experience, even during difficult conversations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University
- Previous Call Center, customer service, or collections experience (1+ years preferred)
- Proficient in computer applications and software.
- Fluent in at least one or more of the following languages: Runyakitara, Luganda, Swahili, Luo
- Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult conversations with professionalism
- Customer-focused with a patient and empathetic approach.
