countries.
Job Summary:  The Communications Officer will support the
Partnerships Manager to oversee the organization’s communications programs,
prepare blog posts, media briefings and engagements, be responsible for the
organization’s communication with different target audiences, handle social
media platforms and liaise with the media – print, electronic and online.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Strategy development: Support the development and implementation of
    an integrated and effective communication strategy with internal and
    external stakeholders of Medic Mobile for building of a high-performance
    communications function that is managed, structured and focused for
    productive and quality work
  • Provide support in the development, implementation and monitoring of
    strategies for internal and external communication
  • Internal Communications Management: Ensure that key internal
    communications messages and Medic Mobile products are skillfully developed
    and articulated for meeting their objectives
  • Donor/Public Engagement: Manage the planning and production of
    compelling and issues-oriented fundraising, advocacy and publicity
    materials (web-based, electronic, print and video) for effective donor and
    public engagement by Medic Mobile — both in Country and internationally as
    appropriate
  • Media Communications Management: Ensure positive portrayal of Medic
    Mobile in the media while promoting the mission and vision of Medic Mobile
  • Advocacy: Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager to define key
    issues, messaging, and communications channels for public advocacy
    initiatives and oversee the development of advocacy – oriented
    communications products. Manage information flow between Medic Mobile and
    its external and internal stakeholders

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Global Health Corps Communications
    Officer career placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree*
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, web
    development, communications, external relations, or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience*
  • Strong writing skills with experience creating accessible summaries
    of complex concepts, e.g. blog posts, articles, or reports*
  • Professional experience managing and evaluating an organization’s
    social media presence*
  • Experience managing and evaluating outreach tools, e.g. website (web
    analytics, landing page optimization), ads (ad tracking), newsletters or
    mailings (a/b/n testing), and/or blogs (tag/content management)
  • Experience working with press/media contacts, including writing
    press releases
  • Experience contributing to fundraising and/or advocacy materials,
    e.g. grant proposals or key messages
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, both
    internally and externally
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success in translating concepts
    and ideas into exciting, clear and logical communications
  • Excellent people skills–driving results through leadership,
    communication and influence
  • Skilled and motivated self-starter with attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, strong work ethic

intensive leadership development and professional growth that the fellowship
