Raising Gabdho Foundation is a social enterprise that supports vulnerable communities through innovation, sustainability, and skills development. Our online radio platform exists to amplify community voices and share timely, relevant content on issues that matter from climate resilience to entrepreneurship and refugee wellbeing.
Job Summary: Raising Gabdho Foundation (RGF) is revamping its online radio into a lively space for learning, engagement, and storytelling. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative intern to support daily podcast and radio operations.
This is a great opportunity for a student or early-career creator to gain hands-on experience in community media.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support planning and scheduling of weekly radio and podcast shows.
- Assist with scripting, recording, and editing of episodes.
- Help coordinate guest interviews and show logistics.
- Manage basic technical setup for live or recorded broadcasts (training provided).
- Share and promote content across RGF’s digital platforms.
- Gather listener feedback and contribute ideas for content improvement.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Recent graduate/awaiting graduation in journalism, media, communications, or a related field.
- Interest in community radio, podcasting, or digital storytelling.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Self-motivated, curious, and able to work both independently and in a team.
- Basic audio editing skills are an advantage but not required.
