Job Title: Security Supervisor

Abacus distributes a variety of pharmaceutical products that cover the therapeutic areas; Cardio-vascular drugs, Respiratory, Anti-infective, Dermatology, Metabolic disorder, Pain management, Gastro Instestinal, Vaccines, Fertility Drugs – IVF, Anti-malarial, Medical Consumables / Sundries, Surgical / Medical Equipment, Neuro-CNS and OTCs (over the counter drugs).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning & Operations
- Ensure 100% access control through controlling what enters and exits the HQ offices and other company premises.
- Plan security for special and high-risk events
- Perform periodic security surveys/patrol and risk assessments and keep the security register updated.
- Coordinate security operations or activities with public law enforcement agencies
- Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
- Perform security incident management (Identify, investigate, or resolve security incidents)
- Implement security management systems (standards, policies, and procedures).
- Conduct physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Plan, direct, or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company premises.
- Conduct external security survey with aim of identifying good ideas that can be implemented on the Business.
- Manage outsourced security contractor performance through routine security inspection, deployment, monthly performance review etc.
- Manage vehicle traffic within the company premises
Records & Report Writing
- Write or review security-related documents, such as incident reports, proposals, and tactical.
- Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
- Communicate security status, updates and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
Training
- Attend meetings, professional seminars, or conferences to keep abreast of changes in executive legislative directives and new technologies impacting security operations
- Train security officers in security rules and procedures.
Budget
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the security budget process.
- Prepare annual security department budget together with Group OHSE manager
- Monitor, analyze, and improve security service performance and surveillance to control losses to the organization.
Any other Duties
- Ensure that any other duty assigned by Management is executed to Management expectations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in any related Business Course from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualification in security management is an added advantage
- Minimum of Four (4) years’ experience in public law enforcement agency with clean record or from a recognized private security organization.
- Training Requirement in crime management & prevention (Advanced) training, Scene of crime management & investigation (Advanced) training, Internal theft pilferage control training and crisis management training will be an added advantage.
