Job Summary: AMSAF East African Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Controller to oversee and maintain grain quality standards across the value chain-from receiving and processing to storage and transportation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate quality control tests on grain at all stages. Promptly report and address contamination or infestation.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports and test results to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
- Ensure adherence to national and international food safety, sanitation, and HSSE standards.
- Minimize grain losses through effective team training, process adherence, and collaboration.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in grain handling, food processing, or agriculture
- Knowledge of grain testing and grading
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset
