About the Company:
Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is a statutory organization established by Uganda Tourism Board Statute of 1994 and reconstituted in the Tourism Act 2008 with the following Statutory Objectives:
- To promote and contribute to the Development of Tourism sector both within and outside of Uganda.
- To coordinate with the Ministry responsible for Tourism and the private sector in the implementation of the National Tourism policy.
- To carry out any other activities as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the two objectives specified above.
Job Summary: To manage and maintain the registry and personal records In UTB in an accessible form to end users.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
KRA 1: Records and Information Management
- Personal records received, registered, and classified
- Maintain a proper filing system
- Receiving, registering and classifying personal records;
KRA 2: Information Communication Technology
- Confidential matters handled as prescribed
- Concern for quality and standards
- Proper filing system in place
KRA 3: Personal files maintained
- Personal information put on files and routed to officers responsible for action
- Personal files opened for keeping information and closed when due
- Personal information put on files and routed to officers responsible for action
- Personal records and the user records system periodically audited
Key Performance Indicators
- Personal records received, registered, and classified;
- Personal files opened for keeping information and closed when due;
- Personal information put on files and routed to officers responsible for action;
- Personal records and the user records system periodically audited;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science or An Honors Bachelor Degree in Records Management from a recognized Institution
Experience
- At least three (3) years hands-on experience in records management.
