Our innovative at-home and community-based literacy and numeracy initiatives are improving student learning outcomes amid the education crisis that has resulted from the longest continuous COVID-19 school closure in the world.

 

Job Summary:   In close consultation with the Ugandan Director of Operations, the Human Resource Manager contributes to the creation review and implementation of the Human Resource Management Policies takes specific responsibility for all aspects of human resources management inducing recruitment onboarding performance management staff development employee relations. and compliance with local labor laws and donor regulations. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for the administration of the HR Information system practices and policy through documentation data entry and management in line with the Building Tomorrows HR strategy and objectives and cultivating its culture by embodying and promoting its core values This role requires a proactive and solutions-oriented leader who can build and scale HR systems in a growing organization. This position is full-time and based in Building Tomorrow Uganda’s Country Office in Kampala

  • Recruitment Onboarding and Talent Management
  • HR Compliance & Risk Management
  • HR Operations & Administration





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource management. Business Administration, Organizational Development A Master’s degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources management with a preference for experience in the NGO sector or development organizations
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices employee relations and labor laws
  • Demonstrated experience in managing recruitment performance management and staff development
  • Strong knowledge of Ugandan labor laws, HR compliance, and USAID or other donor regulations.
