A small-yet-powerful smokeless stove, it will virtually eradicate the catastrophic impact that traditional cooking and heating methods inflict on health, environment, and poverty in developing countries around the world, and provides electricity.
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated IT Officer to join our team. The IT and Tech Support Officer is responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring smooth technology operations across all branches in Uganda. This role includes Salesforce and TaroWorks administration, user training, troubleshooting, and optimizing system usage to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
General IT Support
- Offer daily operational and system support to personnel.
- Conduct consistent network backup operations.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Develop training materials for current and new team members on internal systems.
- Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance upgrades.
- Restrict access to unauthorized sites, downloads, and users.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (onsite and remotely).
- Investigate, diagnose, and solve computer software and hardware faults.
- Maintain records of software licenses and ensure compliance.
- Verify IT equipment purchases meet required standards before procurement.
- Collaborate with HR to provide frequent training on internal systems.
- Minimize paperwork by implementing digital solutions.
- Identify data entry errors and work with relevant departments to correct them.
Salesforce & TaroWorks Administration
- User Management: Set up user accounts, assign roles and permissions, and educate staff on Salesforce and TaroWorks login procedures.
- Training & Support: Provide hands-on training and ongoing support for staff using Salesforce and TaroWorks.
- Report & Dashboard Management: Create and manage reports and dashboards to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Data Integrity & Synchronization: Ensure proper syncing of TaroWorks data with Salesforce for accurate reporting.
- Workflow Automation: Assist in automating processes within Salesforce to improve efficiency.
- Security & Access Control: Implement best practices to ensure data security and access control within both systems.
- Password Management: Store and manage TaroWorks account credentials securely using cloud storage (Google Drive).
Special Responsibilities
- Ensure all necessary software and applications (including Salesforce and TaroWorks) are available in all branches.
- Minimize issue resolution time for IT-related problems across Uganda.
- Actively participate in onboarding and training new IT staff.
- Any other tasks assigned deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Must hold at least a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in ICT, or Computer Science
- At least a minimum of two years’ working experience in a reputable organization.
- Should have an industry Certification from either CISCO, Microsoft, or Oracle.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with Office365 with specific skills in SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Networking design and operations principles, system integration requirements and procedures
- Knowledge on Installation, configuration and troubleshooting for operating systems, computer office suites, e-mail and inter/intranet.
- Knowledgeable in website management.
- Virus protection software and identifying, addressing and removing viruses.
- Should be result-oriented, self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- High level of integrity and demonstrate team work
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours
