African Clean Energy (ACE) is a B-Corp certified enterprise that produces and distributes the ACE One solar-biomass hybrid energy system. A small-yet-powerful smokeless stove, it will virtually eradicate the catastrophic impact that traditional cooking and heating methods inflict on health, environment, and poverty in developing countries around the world, and provides electricity.
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Field Coordinator to join our team. This incumbent in the role will be in charge of the day to day field activities of several ACE Field Agents. This includes the proactive planning of activities of the field teams based on consumer finance repayment rates, sales targets, maintenance cases and usage data collection.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Field Team Management & Performance Monitoring
- Plan and assign target locations and daily tasks based on sales targets, customer repayment rates, and maintenance needs.
- Monitor field agent performance using dashboards, tracking sales progress, syncing compliance, and customer engagement.
- Oversee customer documentation with Consumer Finance, ensuring timely completion of pending sales and repayment follow-ups.
- Conduct spot checks and field visits to ensure agents are operating efficiently and in designated locations.
Training, Motivation & Development
- Lead weekly sales huddles to review performance, share best practices, and provide training on sales effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Facilitate structured agent training sessions on product demos, syncing processes, and repayment collection.
- Work with HR to provide ongoing skills development and mentorship opportunities for field agents.
Customer Relations & Portfolio Management
- Identify low-usage customers and implement re-engagement strategies to improve portfolio performance.
- Oversee customer training programs on stove usage, payment management, and product care.
- Ensure quick resolution of maintenance issues, including managing temporary stove replacements and coordinating with after-sales teams.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on field operations, sales performance, and customer repayments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock (stoves, spare parts, and fuels) is distributed efficiently.
- Submit monthly budget requests in advance, ensuring smooth field operations.
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the link between field agents and management, ensuring all necessary information is shared transparently and efficiently.
- Engage with the Operations Manager and Consumer Finance team to align on documentation accuracy, payment collections, and customer engagement.
- Ensure sensitive customer data is protected and securely managed at all times.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in field operations, sales coordination, or portfolio management, preferably in renewable energy or consumer finance – Hire purchase credit.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage and support field teams.
- Excellent communication & negotiation abilities to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to drive decision-making.
- Fluency in the local language of the area applied for.
- Must be a native of the location applied for.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
