Job Title:   Associate Professor in Architecture

Reports to: Dean, Faculty of Business Administration and Management

Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) is a faith-based private University owned by the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Uganda.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The candidate should have either a PhD in Architecture / Environmental Design or its equivalent from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • S/he should have a Master’s Degree in Architecture / Environmental Design or its equivalent from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • S/he should have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Environmental Design or its equivalent or any other related discipline from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • S/he should have a minimum of five (5) years teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer.
  • S/he should have evidence of scholarship and research experience in the area.
  • S/he should have evidence of engagements and recognition with the professional and other communities.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate experience in sustainable and resilient design, with particular interest in one or more of the following: materials and assemblies, building performance simulation and energy modeling, and innovative use of materials and construction techniques a mong others.
  • Professional Membership with Architectural body will be an added advantage.
