Job Summary:   Responsible for supervision of structural works on construction projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the project plans and schedules and ensure the construction teams’ daily and weekly activities meet production goals related to steelworks.
• Co-ordination of resources – plant, people, materials, and equipment to facilitate a safe work culture and is accountable for the safety of the construction team and must understand the legal liability of the role; ensuring the construction team applies the standards for safe working conditions and are fit for work each day.
• Ensures that the completed work meets standards and recommends work processes that will improve productivity and product quality.
• Accountable for the preparation of reports as required by the employer and management liaison and client interface.
• To be part of the management team responsible for the management team responsible for the management team responsible for the management delivery of inspection and self-delivery program of work.
• To have responsibility for resourcing the routine inspection program, including the recruitment and supervision of internal and/ or subcontracted staff as required.
• To manage the structures’ work program by planning, prioritizing, estimating, and procuring services to enable the necessary work to ensure the structures’ stock remains safe and fit for purpose, including the management of subcontractors.
• To Produce and/ or check method statements and risk assessments, undertake site audits, and ensure safety first in all activities

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Higher national diploma in Civil engineering or training/certificates in a related field with 08 years of experience working on complex construction projects will be considered in lieu of the Degree.
• 8 years of proven work experience in using welding equipment, reading engineering plans and drawings, and blueprints to determine and assemble structures.
• Advanced knowledge in building and construction, knowledge of working with steel, and operating with specialized power tools and machinery.
