Job Summary: The Programme Policy Officer (LIPW Advisor)
will work towards achieving consensus within the LIPW Technical Working Groups
on all issues relating to Labour Intensive Public Works; incorprate capacity
building and strengthening (Human Resource and Institutional) into the agenda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Support
the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development( (MGLSD) in the
dissemination, the roll out and adaptation of the Labour Intensive Public Works
Guidelines (LIPW)

MGLSD to establish a national LIPWs Technical Working Committee that will be
responsible to appraise, supervise and monitor LIPW Sub- projects.

Advisor will liaise between Makerere University and MoGLSD to ensure that there
is integration in the implementation the NEPAD Arch/ 3PAs to all the refugee
hosting districts in alignment with the LIPW’s guidelines.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The

relevant field in the humanitarian-development nexus. Any postgraduate
