Job Title:  IT Networks Officer

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

About the Company:

Housing Finance Bank, is a Commercial Bank and the leading provider of housing finance solutions with a vision to be the preferred consumer and business bank with a focus on housing finance.

Job Summary:   This role is responsible for setting up and maintaining the bank’s local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and connectivity infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring reliable and secure network operations, managing relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and maintaining optimal network performance to achieve 99.99% uptime.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain the bank’s network systems.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement and manage firewalls and security measures.
• Ensure compliance with IT and network standards.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Computer Networking, IT, or related field.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and systems (e.g., Cisco, CCNA certification).
• Experience managing complex network environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
