Job Summary:  The Monitoring Officer reports to the M&E
Specialist for close guidance and supervision. The Monitoring Officer provides
professional technical, operational and administrative assistance and support
throughout the programme cycle through the application of theoretical and
technical skills in the area of field monitoring – consisting of e-Tools roll
out and implementation, HACT programmatic visits and third-party monitoring. By
researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting technical information the
Monitoring Officer will support the facilitation of strengthened field
monitoring in all programming activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Support field monitoring in the area of e-Tools implementation
  • Support to planning, implementation and reporting of HACT
    programmatic visit activities
  • Support field monitoring in the area of Third Party Monitoring
  • Support initiatives in qualitative field monitoring



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the United Nations UNICEF Monitoring Officer
    job opportunity should hold a University Degree in Development studies,
    International Development, Business Administration, Financial Management,
    Economics, and Auditing, Project/Programme Management or other relevant
    field is required.
  • At least one year of professional experience in programme/project
    development and management or financial planning and management and
    related areas at the international and/or in a developing country.
  • Fluency in English is required.
