Job Summary:   We are looking for an Electrical Technician with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the electrical field to support our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems and have the capability to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical installations efficiently. This position requires an individual who is proactive, has a keen eye for detail, and adheres to safety protocols.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, and maintenance electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and determine effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Ensure all electrical work is compliant with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to design, modify, or upgrade electrical systems.
  • Provide support for electrical projects, including installation and commissioning of new systems.
  • Complete electrical wiring diagrams, reports, and documentation.
  • Respond to electrical emergencies and offer timely solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate electrical testing equipment and tools.
  • Assist in training junior technicians and provide technical guidance.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • At least a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Must be registered with the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA).
  • Hold a valid Class C Electrical Permit.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems, installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with renewable energy systems and technologies.
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical software tools for system design and diagnostics.
