Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe
e.V. is a German Christian non¬governmental organisation, dedicated to
excellence in the field of first aid, ambulance service, social service
programmes and other projects in the medical and social field. The Federal
Headquarters are based in Berlin, Germany. Johanniter International Assistance
is the operational unit for humanitarian aid, development co-operation and
emergency relief, implementing and supporting mostly health projects worldwide.
Johanniter has been working in Uganda since end of 2017 providing both
humanitarian and development assistance to refugees as well as host
communities. In close collaboration with national partner organisations
Johanniter runs community health activities that also include the dimensions of
nutrition, WASH and livelihoods.
Job Summary:  The  Finance & Admin Assistant
will support all Financial and administrative processes of Johanniter
Unfall Hilfe e.V. in Uganda according to the legal obligations, and Johanniter
standards and procedures to provide quality, reliable and transparent
information on the use and allocation of resources.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Finance
·        
Managing
petty cash and making petty cash payments based on the support documentation
provided
·        
Checking
of procurement supporting documents for compliance
·        
Daily
update of the cashbooks based on various budget lines in the excel templates
·        
Reviewing
partner financial reports and supporting documents in line with project budgets
and check against compliance with Johanniter and donor guidelines
·        
Uploading
of cash boxes in the finance system
·        
Preparation
of monthly financial reports for Johanniter and partners
·        
Preparation
of bank reconciliation statements
·        
Preparation
of voucher sheets for all transactions
·        
Scanning
of all documents generated and uploading these to the share point on a monthly
basis so these can be accessed by the Global Support Unit and the HQ
·        
Maintaining
a good filing system for all financial and administration documents
·        
Supporting
audits
Human Resources
·        
Tracking
and filing national staff’s vacation days, time sheets and support all other
administrative procedures related to HR management
Administration
·        
Support
team in secretarial and administrative tasks (phone and visitors).
·        
Administering
stock supplies



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
·        
The ideal
candidate for the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V Finance & Admin Assistant job
must hold a Diploma in Business Administration/Finance and Accounting, a
Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
·        
At least
two years of working experience in accounting and administration with
international NGOs or similar
·        
Fluency
in English
Skills:
·        
Excellent
verbal and written communication skills
·        
Strong
organizational, planning, and analytical skills
·        
Knowledge
of Excel, Word and computerised accounting
·        
Knowledge
and good understanding of procurement procedures
·        
Proven
ability to work as part of an international team
