AIRD’s objective is to offer operational support, including but not limited to supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WASH in partnership with relief and development organizations that focus on disaster-affected and development-oriented areas. AIRD delivers for and through partners including but not limited to UN Agencies, international and national donor organizations and governments
Job Summary: The objective of this post oversight of the day-to-day operations of the workshop store, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily tasks such as receiving, picking, packing, and issuing are completed on time.
- Implement procedures to reduce downtime and streamline operations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Minimize inventory discrepancies by conducting regular stock counts and audits.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of products to prevent damage and loss.
- Oversee the accuracy of order picking, packing, and issuing.
- Ensure that all outgoing orders meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Identify and address any issues that could lead to errors or delays.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure the workshop store is a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety checks and audits.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage staff schedules, including shift planning and leave management.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the team leads, managers, and other departments.
- Ensure all workshop store equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or needs for repair/replacement.
- Manage the use of resources such as packing materials and storage space efficiently.
- Contribute to the accurate and timely fulfilment of orders.
- Quickly identify and resolve issues that arise during daily operations.
- Make informed decisions to keep operations running smoothly, especially during peak times or unexpected disruptions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and supply chain management, warehousing or any other related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in garage/ workshop stores operations.
