Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To deliver Retail Engineering projects on strict deadlines, within the Vivo Energy standards and approved budget. This includes end to end project management, contractor management and stakeholder management.
- To ensure that the business agreed HSSE standards are maintained during project delivery.
- Project delivery within agreed time-lines and within approved budget.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, resolve issues/conflicts within project team and manage project dependencies along the critical path.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans, timelines, milestones and associated communication documents using appropriate tools e.g. MS Project.
- Set and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and continuously update on project progress.
- Estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals, prepare and submit budget proposals for the development of investment proposals.
- Prepare BOQs, tender documents, Contracts Board strategy and evaluation of returned bids.
- Effectively track project milestones and deliverables, analyze results, troubleshoot problems and develop recovery plan/action plan.
- Prepare and share progress reports, proposals, User Request Specifications and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plans.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project work.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements and pick learnings for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a strong HSSE culture within the Contractors used, and ensure that the company HSSE standards are implemented and upheld.
- Complete the capitalization of completed projects within 21days after project handover.
- Support CR growth strategy
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Building & Construction Engineering.
- At least 5-years’ experience with hands on Project Management in a FMCG business
- Self-driven and strong team player with good communications skills
- Ability to use Auto-CAD system, read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in HSSE management systems.
- Knowledge and experience with the petroleum retail business is an added advantage
- Flexible and able to handle and deliver under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
