Southgate Industries is a leading fruit processing company, located in Kampala Industrial & Business Park (KIBP Namanve). We process pineapples, mangoes, and bananas into puree, concentrate, and other value-added products.

Job Summary: The Marketing & Digital Officer will support the Marketing Manager in executing marketing campaigns, conducting market research, and promoting SGI’s pineapple juice concentrate and bottled juice. The role includes digital marketing, event coordination, content creation, and supporting sales-driven marketing activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   The Marketing & Digital Officer oversees

• Campaign Execution
• Content Creation
• Market Research
• Digital Marketing Management

Duty/Responsibility

• Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including promotions, events, and digital marketing activities.
• Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements based on data
• Create content for social media platforms, websites, and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with external designers and agencies for the production of marketing collateral.
• Conduct market research to support product development and marketing strategies.
• Analyze consumer trends and provide insights into market conditions and competitors’ activities.
• Manage the company’s social media accounts, creating and scheduling posts, and engaging with the audience.
• Optimize website content and support SEO strategies to improve online presence.
• Support the organization and execution of promotional events, trade shows, and product launches.
• Coordinate event logistics, including venues, promotional materials, and staffing.
• Work closely with the sales team to provide marketing materials and support sales-driven promotions.
• Assist in sales campaigns by creating promotional offers and advertising products.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the food/beverage industry.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field

Additional skills:

• Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of consumer goods and beverage industry trends.
