Job Summary: This is a full-time on-site role for a Field Fraud Investigation Officer at DEXINTEC FINANCE UGANDA LIMITED. The Field Fraud Investigation Officer will be responsible for conducting criminal investigations, collecting evidence, writing reports, and communicating findings. The role requires a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. In this dynamic role, you will be on the front lines of combating fraud. You will travel to investigate suspicious activity, gather evidence, and interview witnesses. Your findings will be crucial in protecting our company from financial losses and ensuring the integrity of our operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and confidential investigations into suspected fraud cases in the field.
- Travel to various locations to collect evidence, such as documents, video footage, and witness statements.
- Interview individuals with knowledge of the alleged fraud, including victims, witnesses, and potential suspects.
- Analyze financial records, transaction data, and other relevant information to identify patterns and inconsistencies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing your findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement officials and legal counsel as needed.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to fraud investigations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fraud investigation or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting independent investigations and gathering evidence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interview a wide range of individuals.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify patterns and trends in data.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently.
