Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and results-driven Assistant Procurement Manager that will support the Procurement Manager in overseeing and managing the organization’s procurement activities. This role involves collaborating with vendors, managing purchase orders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchase supplies and accessories as needed on a project basis
Purchase of office supplies locally as needed on a weekly basis
Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business
Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
Track and report KPIs
Collaborate with key people to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
Perform risk management for supply contracts
Conduct due diligence to ensure the quality of vendors and products
To ensure that all purchases are made from approved supplier list
To evaluate all suppliers for QHSE aspects
To ensure that all procurement policies and procedures are followed according to IMS policy
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or any other related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, experience in the renewable energy sector is an added advantage
Ability to work with associates and contractors in the field and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence. Must be reliable and flexible with work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes
Experience with contract management and vendor relationship management
Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
