Job Title:     Head of Treasury: Financial Maestro

Organisation: Exim Bank (Uganda) (EBU)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

About the Company:
Exim Bank (Uganda) (EBU), commonly known as Exim Bank, is a commercial bank in Uganda. It is one of the commercial banks licensed by the Bank of Uganda (BOU), the central bank and national banking regulator.

Job Summary:   Oversee financial markets and treasury operations, managing the balance sheet and associated risks to drive profitability and growth.

Job Purpose: Manage financial markets activities and oversee the bank’s in-country treasury operations, assessing and managing the balance sheet and associated risks

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and implement a Treasury Strategic Business Plan

Achieve growth and profitability targets through Sales.

Develop strategies for client

portfolios and revenue targets.

Ensure compliance with Audit, Risk,

and regulatory requirements.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Provide timely and accurate reporting for business decisions.

Manage performance of direct reports  and focus on people management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics. Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or related field.

Masters degree and professional certifications (ACI, CFA, ACCA, CPA) are advantages.

At least 7 year’s relevant work experience. with 3 years in a leadership position.

Head of Corporate Banking: Strategic Deal Maker

Develop and implement strategies to grow corporate client portfolios, ensuring top-notch service and compliance with regulatory standards.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Business acumen and market dynamics understanding

Knowledge of governance and control frameworks

Financial market trading skills.

Analytical and quantitative abilities.
