Job Title:  Branch Supervisor

About Organisation:

Simlaw seeds company Uganda limited is a subsidiary of Kenya seed group of companies. Simlaw Seeds Company was registered in Kenya as a limited liability company in 2002 and its core business is selling and marketing of high-quality horticultural seeds in Kenya and eastern Africa. In the same year, Kenya Seed incorporated Kibo Seed Co. Ltd and Mt Elgon Seed Company Ltd in Tanzania and Uganda respectively as an expansion strategy into the Eastern Africa market. In Uganda, the company changed its name from Kenya Seeds Co Ltd and Mt. Elgon Seed Company Limited to Simlaw Seeds Company Uganda Limited in the fulfillment of the Board resolution to introduce Simlaw Seeds as a regional and international brand of Kenya Seed Company Limited.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• To coordinate all operations at the branch in order to achieve the company’s objectives.
• Ensure that all the staff in the branch carry out their activities diligently.
• Build seed distribution networks in the region and market all company products.
• Carry out market surveys, explore and expand markets.
• Ensure proper inventory control to avoid stock losses.
• Ensure that all the cash collected on each day is banked intact on a daily basis and only diverted for other uses after authorization by management.
• Represent the company at official meetings in the region and report to management.
• Coordinate the distribution of inputs under government programs.
• Participate in Agricultural shows, field days and exhibitions to educate farmers about our varieties.
• Maintain and take care of all company assets and properties under your care.
• Timely preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual marketing reports for submission to the general manager.
• Perform any other duties that you may be instructed to do by management.

 




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

• At least four (4) years relevant work experience in a supervisory role.
• Degree in Sales and Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an advantage
• working knowledge of computer applications.
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid Driving license is added advantage.
• Fulfilled the requirements of Leadership and integrity
