Job Summary: The People & Culture Officer Information Systems
& International Staffing will manage the World Vision Uganda Human Resource
Management Information system ‘Our People’ and provide HR & Administrative
Support to Expatriate staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
HRIS Maintenance
- Timely update the Our People system by hiring new staff, separating
exited staff and implementing staff changes as and when they become due. - Regularly audit all data in the system from time to time to and
implement necessary corrections/changes to ensure data accuracy and
reliability - Maintain data security protocols regarding personnel data in line
with WV policies and guidelines.
HRIS End user
Support
- Act as a Super User and resolve all ‘Our People’ related issues.
Provide support to all staff on ‘Our People’ related issues - Increase utilization of the ‘Our People’ system through regular
planned and adhoc trainings and sensitization of staff.
Reporting
- Regularly produce ‘Our People’ reports and analyses. Review reports
with the P&C Business Partners and disseminate the reports to all
relevant stakeholders for appropriate decision making
Expatriate Staff Management:
- Provide ongoing HR and administrative support to World Vision Uganda
expatriate staff and WVI local employees in accordance with WV policies
and procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the World Vision People & Culture Officer
Information Systems & International Staffing job placement should
preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field - At least three years’ experience in human resources preferably
managing information systems - Demonstrated understanding of the human resources field
- Demonstrated understanding of Uganda labour laws
- Demonstrated experience with policy interpretation and
implementation - Basic data analysis and reporting skills. Proficiency in excel
application necessary. - An additional training in IT or analytics will be an added
advantage. - Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well with
people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. - Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent and interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent planning, coordination and reporting skills
