dedicated to providing education and support to pregnant women and mothers
living with HIV, and preventing mother-to-child transmission. Since its
inception, m2m has reached more than one million mothers in seven countries.
Founded in Cape Town in 2001, m2m is a partner in the United Nations’ Global
Plan towards the Elimination of New HIV Infections among Children by 2015 and
Keeping their Mothers Alive.
Job Summary: The Facilities Assistant will be part of a
pool of resourceful persons who will be engaged from time to time on temporary
assignments. The position ensures that office premises are maintained at the
highest level of hygiene and facilitates staff welfare, in line with m2m
administration policies and procedures
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain office premises clean.
- Ensure office compound is well maintained
- Facilitate staff wellbeing through preparation of refreshments for
staff - Dispatch / deliver mail and other packages to rightful persons as
may be assigned - Liaise with the Administrative Assistant on courier and general
management of the office post office mail box - Work with Administrative Assistant on all logistical, refreshment
and other requirements for Office based meetings - Monitor and report problems or issues in relation to the: phone,
electricity, building and equipment to the Administrative Assistant - Maintain office supplies store as per m2m store management processes
and procedures - Co-ordinate and manage the office supplies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the mothers2mothers (m2m) Facilities Assistant job
must hold a Uganda Advanced level of Education (UACE) or related
qualification. - Two years of relevant working experience
- Basic filling experience is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal relations skills, within a multicultural
environment - Self-starter, able to multi task and deliver results under pressure
- Good customer service orientation
- Unquestionable level of integrity
- Empathetic
- Teachable
- Flexible
- Strong time manager – willing to be at office very early
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Fluency in either Luganda or Lusoga is
an added advantage - Good numeracy skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
