Job Title: Compound Designer / Gardener

Xclusive Uganda is a group of Horticulture companies consists of 3 companies: Xclusive Young Plants, Xclusive Kalanchoe and Xclusive Chrysanthemum. Our total production area is about 11 hectares, and we work together with 550 colleagues.
Job Summary: Planning, designing, implementing, and supervising greening and landscaping and developing beautifully, functional, and sustainable outdoor spaces across company premises.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement landscape designs, and greening projects to enhance the appearance and environmental value of company compounds, including tree planting, flower gardens, lawns, hedges, and ornamental features.
- Conduct site assessments and recommend suitable landscaping solutions, plant species, trees, shrubs, and ground covers that are appropriate for local environmental and operational conditions.
- Oversee landscape installation and maintenance activities, ensuring healthy, attractive, and well-maintained grounds while meeting agreed timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance on landscaping, plant establishment, maintenance practices, and compound beautification initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and promote sustainable landscaping practices across company premises.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Forestry, Environmental Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Practical experience of 5 years in preparing landscape drawings, planting plans and project estimates.
