Job Summary: The Radiographer will perform diagnostic imaging procedures safely and professionally, producing high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray and other authorized diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- Apply radiation-protection principles and maintain patient safety.
- Review images for technical quality before submission for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate imaging and patient records.
- Follow infection-prevention and control procedures.
- Monitor and report equipment faults or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect patient dignity.
- Support quality-assurance and imaging-service improvement activities.
- Work closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant qualification in Radiography/Medical Imaging.
- Valid professional registration and practising licence where applicable.
- Relevant experience is an advantage.
- Strong technical and patient-care skills.
- Good communication and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety.
