Andre Foods International (AFI) is a registered National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) in Uganda, pivotal in supporting refugees and vulnerable communities. AFI focuses on a multi-faceted approach to address food insecurity, malnutrition.
Job Summary: AFI is actively seeking for experienced and qualified candidates to fill the position Nutrition Assistant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Outreach Site Planning & Oversight: Lead the planning, setup, and supervision of outreach sites, ensuring smooth process flow and operational efficiency.
- Activity Coordination: Manage and coordinate all activities at treatment outreaches to guarantee effective service delivery.
- Trader Linkages for CBT Sites: Establish and maintain connections with traders to support Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) operations.
- Reporting & Reconciliation: Generate comprehensive site reports after reconciliation with WFP-IDM and the financial service provider.
- Food Delivery & Accountability: Coordinate the delivery of specialized nutritious food and ensure full accountability in handling and distribution.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Community Nutrition, Social Work, or any other relevant field.
- At least one (1) year of proven experience in community-based food assistance, nutrition programming, or related programme implementation.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of any local Karamojong dialect is strongly preferred.
