Job Summary: The Frontend Developer – Mobile will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, accessible, and high-performing cross-platform mobile applications, primarily using Flutter and Dart. The role requires strong hands-on Flutter development experience across reusable widget development, application architecture, state management, API integration, automated testing, device compatibility, debugging, and performance optimisation. Experience with native Android or iOS development and web technologies is an added advantage but is not required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• National Social Security Fund | Front-End Developer – Mobile (Flutter) (1 Position)
• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart for Android and iOS devices.
• Build mobile features using reusable widgets, responsive layouts, navigation, animations, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and Flutter lifecycle management.
• Create reusable Flutter widgets, shared packages, utility libraries, themes, and design system components.
• Translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, intuitive, and maintainable mobile user experiences.
• Implement application state management using Riverpod, Bloc, Provider, GetX, or other suitable approaches.
• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, authentication and authorisation services, microservices, cloud platforms, and third-party SDKs.
• Implement secure local storage, offline capabilities, caching, synchronisation, error handling, push notifications, deep linking, and background processing.
• Optimise application performance through efficient widget rendering, application profiling, memory management, image optimisation, caching, and reduced application size.
• Develop and maintain unit, widget, integration, and end-to-end tests using Flutter testing tools and suitable automation frameworks.
  Diagnose and resolve defects involving application state, device compatibility, rendering, navigation, API integration, platform-specific behaviour, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, secure, testable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams throughout development, release, deployment, and production support.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Relevant professional certifications in mobile application development, cloud technologies, or software engineering are an added advantage.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of strong professional experience developing and maintaining production-grade cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
• Advanced Flutter skills, including widget composition, application lifecycle, navigation, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, responsive layouts, state management, and performance optimisation.
• Solid experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs, authentication and authorisation services, cloud services, third-party SDKs, and enterprise platforms.
• Proven experience with automated testing, secure mobile development, offline storage, responsive design, device compatibility, and Android and iOS application release processes.
• Familiarity with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and mobile application monitoring tools.
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, mobile application signing, deployment to Google Play and the Apple App Store, observability, crash reporting, and production support, supported by strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Preferred / Advantageous (Not Required)

• Experience with native Android development using Kotlin or Java and native iOS development using Swift or Objective-C.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with payment platforms, biometric authentication, maps, geolocation services, camera functionality, and other device capabilities.
• Familiarity with mobile design systems, accessibility standards, localisation, and internationalisation.
