RHSP strives to improve the quality of life of the local population through a combination of community-based research, curative services, and prevention strategies in the districts of South-central Uganda.
Job Summary: The Human Resource Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department across recruitment, employee administration, onboarding, records management, staff welfare, training coordination and HR reporting.
The role will assist with reviewing job applications, conducting reference and background checks, preparing employment documentation, maintaining personnel files and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding. The successful candidate will also help maintain accurate attendance, leave, contract and training records, support data entry and migration into the Odoo HRIS, prepare routine reports and correspondence, and provide logistical support for staff orientation, training and engagement activities.
This position is particularly suited to a recent graduate seeking practical, hands-on experience in Human Resource Management. The successful candidate should be proactive, organized, professional and able to handle confidential employee information with discretion. They should also be able to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with employees and other stakeholders.
The Human Resource Assistant may be assigned other related duties by the supervisor as operational needs arise.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree
- Basic HR knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of Uganda labour laws
- Nice to have
- Up to 2 years’ experience
- Exposure to HRIS or Odoo
- Recruitment support experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and self-motivated
