Kitara Agribusiness is a registered Ugandan enterprise dedicated to fighting malnutrition and improving food security, primarily operating in Northern Uganda and the Palabek Refugee Camp. Founded by Okello Godfrey, the company produces affordable, nutrient-dense foods (like maize flour, soy flour, peanut butter, and RUTF) and provides market linkage and vocational training for smallholder farmers and vulnerable youth.
Job Summary: Kitara Agribusiness, located in Gulu District, Northern Uganda, is seeking a motivated and competent Farm Production Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day management of our poultry enterprise while providing technical guidance in fruit and vegetable production. The role also involves supervising farm assistants and supporting practical agricultural training for farmers, youth, and women.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Certificate in Agriculture or a related field
- 2 years of hands-on experience in poultry management and production
- Basic knowledge of fruit and vegetable production
- Aged 18-30 years
- Must be from the Acholi Sub-region
- Willing to live and work in a rural village setting
