Job Title: Education and Child Development Coordinator (2 Positions)

Watoto Church Ministries has experienced exponential growth over the past couple of years, comprising multiple Celebration Centres (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives, including Child Care, Neighbourhood, Education, and FM Radio, among others.




Job Summary: To coordinate and oversee the implementation of Education and Child development programmes that ensure children have access to quality learning, thrive and are equipped to reach their full potential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the implementation of programme plans for effective service delivery.
  • Coordinate the enrolment of children into suitable partner schools in alignment with the Watoto values and mission.
  • Coordinate access to quality education for all supported children.
  • Monitor academic progress and support interventions to improve learning outcomes.
  • Support in the design of the case management process for mothers and children.
  • Coordinate the implementation of case management processes by Integrated Case Workers.
  • Oversee programmes that support holistic child development.
  • Identify and respond to child protection and wellbeing concerns.
  • Equip caregivers to support children’s education and development.
  • Review case files, education records, track indicators, and child development data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Build partnerships with education authorities, churches, and community stakeholders to support holistic child development.
  • Build capacity in child-centred programming and case management.
  • Monitor adherence to child safeguarding and protection policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety, dignity and accountability for children.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • The applicant for the role should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Training in Child protection and safeguarding is an added advantage.
  • At least 4-5 years experience in in education programs, child development, or child focused community work.
  • Experience working with schools, children and caregivers.
  • Proven experience in case management or child safeguarding.
  • A committed, consistent, and discipled Christian who demonstrates spiritual maturity and active engagement in discipleship, aligned with Watoto values.
